The plant varieties we start are also the plants we grow for the heartbeat of our operation––the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). We grow our starts here at The Root Connection without artificial heat, growth stimulants, or chemical fertilizers. This makes them better able to adjust to life in your garden.
Starts are made available to Northwest Gardeners at our Farm Store Nursery every May – June.
Veggie Starts Are Available When It's Time To Plant
Our veggie starts are made available as soon as the it's safe to plant them in your garden. Planting begins the first week of May and goes all the way through the second week of June.
Gallon tomato plants are ready around the second week of May. All our tomatoes are early disease resistant varieties and have been trialed in our fields. Tomato plants include numerous Determinate and Indeterminate slicers, beefsteak, cherry and pot container varieties.
